Our Roots

Green Cross, Incorporated was founded by a Chinese immigrant, Mr. Co Ay Tian, on June 16, 1952. The company was then named Gonzalo Laboratories.

Together with his children, Mr. Co Ay Tian manufactured and sold rubbing alcohol under the brand names Green Cross, Jel, Tulip and Sanirub. Soon after, they started to manufacture and sell their bleach brand– Zonrox. With good products at hand, a lot of hard work, and informative advertising, Green Cross ® and Zonrox ® soon became leaders in their respective industries.

In the early 1980's, Gonzalo Laboratories Incorporated transitioned to become Green Cross, Incorporated.

Today, the company has products healthily competing in the FABRIC & HOME CARE category such as Zonrox Bleach®, Uno Bleach®,  Greenex All-Purpose Cleaner®,   Del Fabric Softener®,   Glide Ironing Aids®,  in the  HEALTH & HYGIENE category such as Green Cross Alcohol®,  Green Cross Soap® and in the  PERSONAL CARE category -  Lewis & Pearl Colognes®,   Lewis & Pearl Body and Face Powder®.

Green Cross, Incorporated will continue building its portfolio with brands that the consumers trust and love.
