Green Cross, Incorporated was founded by a Chinese immigrant, Mr. Co Ay Tian, on June 16, 1952. The company was then named Gonzalo Laboratories.

Together with his children, Mr. Co Ay Tian manufactured and sold rubbing alcohol under the brand names Green Cross, Jel, Tulip and Sanirub. Soon after, they started to manufacture and sell their bleach brand– Zonrox. With good products at hand, a lot of hard work, and informative advertising, Green Cross ® and Zonrox ® soon became leaders in their respective industries.

In the early 1980's, Gonzalo Laboratories Incorporated transitioned to become Green Cross, Incorporated.

Today, the company has products healthily competing in the fabric and home category such as Zonrox Detergent ®, Del Fabric Softener ®, Glide Ironing Aid ® and Greenex All-Purpose Cleaner ® and in the personal care category - Green Cross Protection Soap ®, Lewis and Pearl Cologne ® and Face and Body Powder ®.

Green Cross, Incorporated will continue building its portfolio with brands that the consumers trust and love.
